Lately, I've been enjoying mixing materials to make necklaces. Today, I'm mixing several colors of beautiful suede leather lace with a big honkin' wooden bead for a little statement necklace perfect for summertime. Read on for the full tutorial.
Materials:
leather lace in grey, light blue, petrol, turquoise, and light green
2 - 8mm gold end caps
1 - gold lobster claw clasp
1 - gold jump ring
1 - large wooden bead
scissors
washi tape
glue
pliers

Cut nine laces of the same length approximately 16" long.
Tape the the laces together about 1/2" from each end.
Thread one large wooden bead onto the laces.
Squeeze a bead of glue into each end cap, and insert the laces. Allow time to dry.
Use a pair of pliers to open a jump ring to attach the lobster claw clasp to one of the end caps. Remove the washi tape from each end, and enjoy!
