I'm back today with my last easy DIY gift idea before the big day. Today, I'm showing you how to turn a few wooden ball knobs into unique taper candle holders. I personally love having taper and votive holders of different heights to make a tablescape a little more eye-catching and interesting, so I think these would make a great handmade gift for any friend that likes to entertain. Read on for the full tutorial.
Materials: 2" Wooden Ball Knobs (essentially just a round ball with one flat side), Drill + 3/4" Drill Bit, Wood Stain, Cloth, Craft Paint, Paint Brush
Begin by drilling a hole in the top of each wooden knob about 1" deep. Be careful and try not to drill a big ole candle-sized hole through your hand.
Use a cloth that you don't mind ruining to rub a rich wood stain onto each knob.
For a little something extra, add a few little shimmery dots with some metallic craft paint and a fine-tipped paint brush. Combine the gift with a bundle of beautiful taper candles, and you're good to go!
Those are so beautiful. Wonderful Idea!!!
