True story: We've never hosted a dinner party. That is, until this time last week. Last Wednesday, we gathered Michael's whole family in our dining room for dinner, and I snapped a few pics of the table. Read on to see them all.
I didn't break out anything too elaborate but added a few touches to make it feel special and seasonal. Classic white dinnerware with some tinsel-touched cloth napkins.
For the centerpiece, I took gold spray paint to a bundle of eucalyptus stems that I picked up from the craft store.
While I took care of presentation, I have to give it to Michael for taking on the lion's share of the cooking. We served salad, beef bourguignon, and chocolate terrine. Michael cooked the beef bourguignon and I the chocolate terrine the night before. In the hour before the party, all we had to do was assemble the salad and pop the beef bourguignon back on the stove to reheat. That's the way to do it, man.
I relished in the whole thing, and I can't wait to throw another one!
