Well, we did it. We moved. We drove all of our earthly belonging from DC to TN on Saturday. This, of course, means that my life is currently in utter disarray. It seems appropriate in the midst of all of this chaos to say a proper goodbye to our DC-area home.
Michael and I shared this little piece of Arlington for the past 6 years, and it will always be a special place for many reasons. It was our first home purchase. Michael proposed to me in our living room. I lived there longer than any other home other than my parents' house. It was the first home that I really put my touch on -- a touch that evolved a lot over the last 6 years (for proof, check out my initial before & after shots back in 2009 and this Apartment Therapy tour back in 2011.)
So, while having our place on the market for several weeks was a ginormous pain that brought all of my DIYing to a halt, it was a great excuse to give the place one final spruce up and snap a few pictures to remember it by. So, read on for all the pics of our condo in its final glorious state, and come back tomorrow to see what's inspiring me for our new place (spoiler: it's super different from the vibe of our condo)!

It's certainly hard to say goodbye to something that I'm not only just used to but have so much sentimental attachment to, but I'm excited to build new memories in our new home. Have you ever said goodbye to a home you love?
Hello Mandy:
