1,001 Things To Do

I'm pretty much neck-deep in home projects right now. Even though we closed on our house about 6 weeks ago and have been managing some pretty big projects on it from afar, the house is still in need of about 1,001 improvements -- everything from painting walls to cleaning tile to replacing light fixtures to installing hooks and so on. Not exactly sexy stuff. I'm excited to get past all this mundane and seriously time-consuming stuff to the fun stuff of turning my inspiration into a reality. So, in a desperate effort to trick myself into thinking that I've actually prioritized my list of 1,001 things to do, I'm sharing some of the bigger and more fun projects on my to do list.

Lindsey Adelman DIY Chandelier: This DIY fixture seems to be all over the place, and I intend to make it mine. In fact, all of the little pieces are sitting on my dining room floor as we speak. Subway Tile Backsplash: The only thing that stands between us and a completely finished and upgraded kitchen is the backsplash, so my dad and I are taking this one on next week. I can't wait to share the finished kitchen! Built-In Bookshelves: Our attic bedroom has a cut-out just begging for some built-ins. Upholstered Headboard: The pitched ceilings in our bedroom call for a custom headboard, and I'm really inspired by the stunner in this design by Martha Angus. Gold Spray Paint: I have a whole host of furniture pieces for my craft room in need of a coat of spray paint, so I envision spending a full day just spray painting some shit gold.

See. I'm all over the place. Maybe I'll actually finish something this weekend worthy to share next week. A girl can dream, right? Got any suggestions for prioritizing my to do list?
