I've had an on-again-off-again relationship with DSLR cameras. I totalled my car back in 2007, and since I didn't really need a car in DC, I used a big chunk of my insurance payout to buy myself a DSLR. I read the books. I learned how to use it, but honestly, it just didn't make sense for what I needed a camera for (which, at the time, was not blogging). So I sold it and all the fun things I had bought to go with it at a bargain basement price and got myself another, all-in-one camera. Then 2013 cometh, and I decided that I needed to get back on the DSLR bandwagon to take my blog photos to the next level. So, I bought another one. Apparently, Amazon has a long memory, because while the body I purchased was different, Amazon so kindly reminded me that I had purchased nearly every accessory before. One accessory that I refused to buy again? An ugly camera bag. Traditional camera bags are not pretty, my friends. But I finally arrived at a solution that I am so dang proud of that I just had to share it with you -- a lovely satchel with a camera bag insert! Genius!!!

So, the deal is that all kinds of companies make padded camera bag insertsin all sizes to hold your fancy camera and all its schmancy accessories. With this in mind, I zeroed in on a lovely coral patent leather satchel that met my fancy and found an insertwith dimensions that would fit snuggly inside. As you can see, it fits two lenses, a body with a third (not pictured), lens filters, and my charger. Not bad at all. Do you have any other ideas for how to carry your camera equipment in style?
Adorable! I've definitely been on the look-out for the perfect sized purse that I can turn into a camera bag too!

This is the direction I want to go in too. Love your choices. xo
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh I love your bag!! Thanks for sharing your find :) I may just do the same!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteWhat camera body do you have? Do you remember how wide the purse said it was? All of my favorite purses seem to be too skinny for the camera.
