Here are some highlights.
The invitation...
Our beverage choices included a bloody mary bar (of course), Irish coffees (iced and hot), and champagne cocktails -- including my recent grapefruit-elderflower sorbet concoction.
We asked folks to bring their favorite breakfast food, but we provided some bagels, cream cheese, smoked salmon, red onion, capers, and smoked salmon dip.
This is the lone, sad little decoration that I made. Our place was such a disaster that I ran out of steam just cleaning the place up. This little hanging fried egg was all I could muster.
I did get my act together to make some favors...take-home blood mary mix. The little hanging tag included a recipe for my favorite spicy blood mary.
The highlight of the evening was probably our friend Winn, who not only wore footsy monkey pajamas, but also brought a waffle station. Delicious.

This is adorable! A few years ago my siblings and I imposed a $20 gift limit for Christmas, so I made jalapeno vodka and wrapped it up with mini bloody mary mix. Great minds think alike!
ReplyDeleteLooks fabulous! I don't think you needed many decorations for breakfast! The tags are adorable.
ReplyDeleteWhere can I buy your Breakfast for Dinner labels? I love them! I am hosting a breakfast for dinner party this week!
